Local directions:
 

Taxi: In German "University of Applied Sciences Kiel" is called "Fachhochschule Kiel".
Bus: The bus line 11 connects the city with the campus. The direction towards the campus is called “Dietrichsdorf – Pillauer Straße”.
Ferry: The ferry line F2 crosses the fjord several times a day, connecting the wharfs “Reventloubrücke” and "Dietrichsdorf".

By car you'll drive 1 1/2 hours to Kiel, take the highways A7 and A215 in direction to Kiel

By shuttle bus: There is a special shuttle bus between Hamburg, Airport and Kiel. Here are the times of departures (mainly every hour):

The best choice is a shuttle bus ticket for about 25 Euro (One-Way) or 40 Euro (Round trip) which includes the shuttle bus and additionally taxi.
